Nancy O'Dell began her broadcast career as a reporter and anchor for WPDE-TV in Myrtle Beach South Carolina. Later, she was morning news anchor at WCBD TV and was the crime reporter. Her reporting of the ineffective police response to DUI incidents in Charleston resulted in an investigation by State Law Enforcement Division, which resulted in a new directive from state authorities regarding DUI cases. Ms. O'Dell was awarded the Best Report of the Award from the Associated Press for South Carolina's media. Her work in Charleston led her to serve as a co-anchor, reporter and NBC's Miami WTVJ-TV. Prior to she joined Access Hollywood she was a anchor on the weekdays and was also the weekend anchor for NBC. She also works as a co-anchor on Dateline NBC and NBC News Today. She has co-hosted a variety of pre-shows and arrivals shows for The Emmys as well as The Golden Globe Awards. She also hosted Miss USA's pageant as in addition to the Miss Universe Pageant.
